This drone/camera combo creates incredible images and video. That is, when it’s working. I had to send it in for repair 3 times in less than six moths. DJI took care of it each time, very quickly, but the frustration of not being able to fly a new drone on 3 separate occasions is just not cool. Currently, since the last repair in June 2025, it is operating beautifully.

I have been wanting this drone for a long time, and it ended up being a perfect time when it showed up as a warehouse deal due to the box being damaged. Per the description, the box was damaged, but the item showed only minor scuffs. I purchased and received it. Upon registering the drone I attempted to get the DJI care and discovered that Amazon activated it to make sure it worked, unfortunately it started the clock to get the warranty. I got it at 106 days from activation. I was able to contact DJI and provide an invoice and a video verification that it had not been used other than activation, and it was in perfect condition, so they allowed me to purchase the DJI care. With the expense of the Mavic 3 Pro it was needed. I love this thing only an hour in. I might have to get the enterprise model in the near future.

For the beginner, start here. I bought and broke 6 cheapo’s which would have decreased this drone by a third. In the mountains of New Mexico, I never got to the limit vertically or horizontally. It has me on the trip and the return. So far and high I couldn’t see it. Extraordinarily good video.. I flew it through the trees and shoulder high brush and it never missed a beat. I couldn’t wait. We were in a hotel room on our way, I turned it on and hit go. It took off from the bed, hovered at a certain place and wouldn’t go anywhere else. It would fly but not into a wall.

I absolutely loved the cameras. They are spectacular and the 7X Zoom controlled by your right forefinger is very easy. I hated giving this unit up but it bothered me and when I feel something is wrong with a brand new unit I can’t see keeping it and continually worrying about it. The control told me frequently that my signal was weak and I needed to adjust my antenna. There was one occasion when the unit would not respond to the controller. It would not land and it was within 6 feet of me. It also would not rotate. Having it about 1000 feet away in a clear and open area with no obstruction having it tell me the signal was weak and not wanting to respond made me think something is wrong with the unit. It’s new and that shouldn’t happen.

The fly more package is a must have on any dji drone you buy in my opinion. Came with 3 battery charger which will allow you to charge 3 batteries and your remote at the same time, 2 extra batteries, and also came with the ND filters free which is a 100 dollar value in itself. If you fly a lot you can never have enough batteries.

A lot of these drones shoot in 4k but not many drones have the color that this has. Get that Hassy and put it to work if you’re a cinematic drone photographer.
